Welcome to Summer!Reading is fun and leads to success in school and in life. When young people read more than just their classroom assignments, research clearly shows that they generally do well in school. Personal choice is important, so be sure to use the Reading Resources below.
We offer digital books, so don't forget Sora, our online platform for ebooks and audiobooks and ComicsPlus, our platform for graphic novels and manga (access it by clicking on MackinVIA in Clever). If you are attending DHMS in the fall of 2024, there is no required summer reading, but we hope you will read during the summer. The handouts below give some great options for summer reading for middle schoolers. |
Summer CheckoutIf you are returning to DHMS in August, 2024, you can check out up to 10 books for the summer beginning on May 13. Fill out the form below and bring it to Ms. Kochel or email it to [email protected].
